Home for me has become a bright and open floor in an apartment in the Copenhagen neighborhood of Veserbro! Here I live with 4 girls that I can truly now call some of my closest friends here.
As you are living with only other american studies, the RC has made meeting other Danes my age difficult. But the experience of living in an apartment and getting to meet other students from all over the US has been extremely rewarding. I've enjoyed every minute. Here's a glimpses into a typical day in the Versterbro RC:

A typical day for me is always going to start with a cup of coffee (or 2 or 3). Feeling lucky I finally have the sun streaming through our big windows as my roommate and I sit at the table getting ready in the morning.

More beautiful window vibes as I spend slow afternoons catching up with roommates back at home. Nothing is more common than for us than to all end up piled in a room catching up after a day taking classes and exploring the city.

These are some of my favorite views around this hip & up-and-coming neighborhood. I quickly discovered the 5 lakes which are just a few blocks away from the apartment and provide the perfect place for a run or to sit with friends!

But the best part of RC-living has truly been the people I've been able to meet! Whether it is planning a picnic at a beach or throwing a surprise birthday party ~sappy warning~ they have truly made it an incredible experience.
