About Me

Hi everyone!

My name is Abbie and I am a 20-year old college student from Minnesota studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark with DIS for the spring 2018 semester. I created this blog to keep family and friends updated on my time abroad, as a place to store my thoughts, memories, and photos I can hopefully reflect on for many years to come, and finally to be a place where I can reflect and articulate memories and lessons from this spring.

At my home university I am double majoring in Political Science and Religion while also taking management courses. Here at DIS I get the chance to study Human Rights, Globalized Islam, Women & Leadership, and the philosophy of mental illness! In addition to enjoying these unique and different  courses I strive to uncover Copenhagen behind the tourist lenses - I want this place to become my home with all the good, bad, and mundane. Finally I can't wait to have Europe at my backdoor! There is so much to learn and see ... although I haven't been everywhere yet it is certainly on my list.
